Administrative and Finance Assistants National Capital Region


Chemonics seeks administrative and finance assistants for the USAID-funded Biodiversity and Watersheds Improved for Stronger Economy and Ecosystem Resilience (B+WISER) project for the following project sites:
 
  1. Mt. Apo National Park, Davao City;
  2. Mt. Kitanglad Mountain Range, Malaybalay, Bukidnon;
  3. Bago Watershed, Negros Occidental;
  4. Quinali Watershed, Albay, Bicol;
  5. Naujan Lake, Mindoro Occidental;
  6. Marikina-Kaliwa, Metro Manila;
  7. Sierra Madre Mountain Ranges, Isabela and/or Cagayan
Responsibilities: 
  • Assist the field coordinator and the team in financial and administrative concerns of the project ranging from overseeing and maintaining field office financial systems including purchasing, invoicing, petty cash, cash disbursements and reconciling bank accounts and financial reports using appropriate computer software.
  • Maintain accurate, accessible, and up-to-date financial record-keeping systems for the field office (electronic and paper). Organize and maintain filing systems for financial records.
  • Provide general administrative, technical and logistical support to the project office and to project activities, such as forums, meetings, workshops, training programs and seminars, and to learning exchanges, such as study tours, research missions, internships, and professional placements.
 

Requirements:
  • Diploma or post-secondary degree in applied business, financial administration, bookkeeping and/or accounting.
  • Work experience in providing financial and administrative support for large international development projects or business administration experience in a comparable position.
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft Office, accounting software and website applications.
  • Proven ability to handle complex reconciliation of financial data.
  • Excellent written and spoken English language communication skills and well-organized.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Highly professional with demonstrated interpersonal skills including the ability to exercise tact, judgment, and discretion.
  • Ability to take on delegated responsibilities, to set priorities, multi-task, take initiative and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • An ability to work flexible hours from time to time in a dynamic and energized team environment.
  • Experience in USAID funded projects in the Philippines preferred.
