Senior Active Directory / Exchange Server 2010 Architect Job ID 9832

Position Overview:
This is a 6 month contract with a strong possibility of renewal.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the migration of platforms by administering and supporting 24x7 enterprise Exchange/Active Directory environment
Handle all aspects of Microsoft Exchange Server administration and upgrade Active Directory design, integration, upgrade and management Assist with system security, monitoring, capacity planning, disaster recovery and change management in this complex environment
Conduct Active Directory and Exchange Server training sessions for different teams as needed

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical diploma
8-10 years of Enterprise IT environment
3-5 years managing a large scale Microsoft Exchange environment connected to SAN
Expert knowledge of Exchange 2003, 2007 and 2010 is essential
Extensive experience with Windows Server 2003/2008, Active Directory.
Change management, monitoring, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery and troubleshooting is required
Microsoft System Center 2007, Virtual Server technologies, SharePoint Server 2007
A strong knowledge of Blackberry Enterprise Server, e-mail encryption, and SPAM filtering technologies is also preferred

Additional Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience mentoring & training co-workers
Demonstrated experience working effectively in a team environment
Strong planning skills and a technical aptitude
Previous experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003/2007/2010 migration/upgrade is highly desired

We have an an exciting opportunity for an IT Senior Quality Assurance Analyst in our Calgary office. We are seeking an innovative thinker who is positive, proactive and readily embraces change. The successful candidate will be accountable for learning the quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) methodology, working with business analysts, developers and project managers to ensure quality products are delivered to the business. You must have a desire/willingness to explore, troubleshoot and learn new skills/concepts/tools and be a self-starter.

Accountabilities:

• Lead the QA effort on various projects and initiatives
• Develop and implement test plans, test cases and test scripts (both manual and automated) to ensure software products meet the organization’s standards and end user requirements
• Provide training, coaching and mentoring to QA team members on QA methodologies and processes
• Develop and maintain testing environments and coordinate software releases
• Facilitate meetings and prepare and deliver presentations
• Assist with the development of QA Processes for new technology in the Shaw IT Environment
• Be accountable for Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance of QA Processes
• Ensure evolving industry best practices are incorporated into test planning and implementation
• Apply ingenuity and knowledge of best practices in software programming to create fault-tolerant, highly reliable test architectures, scripts, test suites and processes
• Ensure the appropriate use of test automation and testing tools
• Various other duties as required

Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a software development environment including:
• 4+ years experience in software quality assurance
• 1+ years proven ability to lead a team
• 1+ year test automation experience
• Hands-on, in depth knowledge of software quality assurance/testing methodologies, practices and related standards (IEEE, CMMI)
• Experience with strategic and business planning
• Proven analytical and problem solving abilities
• Programming experience with one or more of the following languages: C#, Java.
• Demonstrated ability to specify and develop custom automated and non-automated test harnesses
• Demonstrated business analysis ability including the ability to communicate effectively with end users
• Experience leveraging test automation for non-GUI based verifications and system manipulation
• Experience with open source test tools and utilities
• Experience with Oracle and/or MSSQL Server database environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable Skill, Experience and Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile an asset
• Experience with Web Service Testing an asset
• Experience with load and performance test tools and methodologies an asset
• Experience with at least one commercial test automation system
• Knowledge of web application security and penetration test tools/techniques an asset
• Project Management experience an asset
