Xator is seeking an Electronics Technician to consult with the Project Manager, Design Engineer, and other support staff to install complex audio visual equipment, technical security equipment, and network and telephone equipment in overseas Tactical Operations Centers (TOC).
Job duties include:
- Utilize controlled documentation and knowledge of government standards, Application Guides, and industry best practices to complete onsite installations at various overseas locations.
- Provide project status/updates to the respective project manager of team lead
- Install various components such as infrastructure (conduit, j-boxes, strut), panels, equipment racks and cabling
- Test and troubleshoot system components such as cabling, terminations and IO boards
- Ability to read blueprints and system wiring schematics
- Understanding of Engineering and Design Principles
- Ability to convey technical viewpoints to non-technical personnel
- Hands-on experience with electronic security systems (i.e. acces control, CCTV, intrusion detection)
- Vendor certifications fom any one of the following are highly desirable: Software House, Panasonic, Pelco, Bocsch, Selectone, Vindicator, Lenel, Stentofon, Hirsch and Advantor (minimum of 2 certifications
This position requires a High School diploma or a diploma from a technical or vocational school and at least four years experience with electronics systems.
This position requires up to 75% international travel.
