Hamilton Golf & Country Club
Established in 1894, the Hamilton Golf and Country Club is one of Canada’s finest private golf clubs. Located in picturesque Ancaster, the Hamilton Golf and Country Club has a rich tradition of hosting many great events, including the 2003 and 2006 Canadian Open. We are seeking a highly qualified Chef de Cuisine with excellent culinary ability and strong interpersonal and management skills.
The successful candidate must have a strong working knowledge of International Cuisine and be aware of current culinary trends. He/she demonstrates passion for cooking and menu planning and is constantly making changes to reflect the seasons.
Additional requirements include a quality cooking background preferably with private club experience, knowledge of effective team development, motivation and leadership. The Chef de Cuisine will be actively involved and a hands-on leader in the daily kitchen environment.
He/She shall demonstrate creativity and innovation in planning menus for all food and beverage outlets, formal and casual dining (200 seats), banqueting (200 seats), private functions, take-outs and Club events. They will also provide delicious, nutritious and well presented food to members and guests while appealing to their varying tastes. The Club expects all food served to be properly, expedited in a smooth, fast and efficient manner with the Chef de Cuisine working the line during peak times. He/She demands exceptional food quality from the staff and suppliers consistent to the high standards of the club.
This opportunity would suit an experienced, high energy, dynamic and motivated Chef de Cuisine with a pleasant, proactive demeanor, willing to work flexible hours and be available on all major holidays. You must possess organizational and time management skills. Experience with food costing, inventory, scheduling and labour costs, working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook preferred.
