SERVICE TECHNICIAN My Calgary based client requires a Service Technician to serve their client base and provide technical assistance and guidance. Job Role/Responsibilities: - Visit clients throughout Alberta, BC, Yukon, and Northwest Territories and provide training, start-up, or repair services. 75% office based, 25% field based, with occasional travel at short notice and in remote locations. - Trouble shoot problems with equipment, either by phone or on site, and provide service repairs of mechanical, electrical, and control systems equipment. - Document service activities for project tracking purposes. - Develop service contracts with clients and ensure that contract commitments are tracked and addressed. - Attend manufacturer training courses. - Provide technical support to clients, manufacturers, and staff. - Assist with inside sales, including cost estimates and quotes. Required Skills/Qualifications: - Diploma or certificate in electrical or instrument & controls technology - 5-10 years relevant work experience, water treatment experience would be an advantage - Experience with PLC microprocessors, process controls - Knowledge of electrical connections and wiring - Ability to create and/or interpret technical/electrical drawings and manuals with an understanding of instrumentation & control systems - Sales experience would be an advantage - Knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excellent verbal and written skills Competencies: - Excellent time and work management skills - Self-starter, innovative, motivated, enthusiastic, willingness to learn - Work well alone or in a team - Problem solver - Conscientious, detail orientated, determined, takes pride and ownership in your work Please apply by email to either xxxxxx.xxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxx.xx or xxxxx.xxxxxxx@xxxxxxxxxxx.xx Only applications from individuals who have the legal right to work in Canada will be considered. | |
