On the day President Benigno Aquino III delivers his first State of the Nation Address (SONA), he enjoys a trust rating of 85 percent, said Pulse Asia, a public opinion polling body.
Pulse Asia's survey nearly reflected the one conducted by the Social Weather Stations, which showed that 88 percent of Filipinos trusted Aquino.
"President Aquino appears to be off to a good start with 85 percent of Filipinos expressing trust in him – the highest trust rating ever recorded by any individual included in Pulse Asia’s trust probes since 1999," Pulse Asia said.
Only two percent distrusted him, while 13 percent was undecided.
The survey was conducted on 1,200 adult respondents from July 1 to 11, eleven days after Mr. Aquino's inauguration. It has a ± 3 percent error margin.
