We partner with each Wealth line of business to understand their strategies and value proposition and work collectively to identify and deliver technology solutions to drive business value. The objective of the Portfolio and Client Management Systems team (PCMS) is to develop, deliver and support technology solutions for advisors in the areas of Portfolio & Performance Management, Contact Relationship Management and Investment and Wealth Planning. Support sound business cases with an on-going focus on reusability, scalability, innovation, and enterprise-wide solutions. We partner with external vendors, lines of busines, technology, operations, product, and other support partners to develop innovative, cost effective, and high-integrity solutions. Our focus is on speed to deliver reusabile, scalable, integration-read and enterprise-wide technology solutions. The value of our solutions and services help enable our Businesses to achieve their revenue, client and employee acquisition & retention goals, while minimizing contributions to one-time and ongoing expenses. Job Description: The successful candidate will lead a team of 20+ IT professions (IT Managers, BAs and QAs) in developing, testing, maintaining and supporting a large portfolio of technology solutions (applications) for advisors with a focus of driving business value and executing with excellence Key Accountabilities: • Own the strategic roadmap of each technology solution/application in the portfolio and drive business value by ensuring applications meet business strategy, objectives and goals • Accountability to ensure all projects (whether tier 1, 2, or 3), and development for applications are completed on time, on budget, and meet business requirements • The scope and breadth of these applications crosses the entire spectrum of Wealth businesses (Bank Discount Brokerage, Institutional Services, Financial Planning, Private Investment Advice, Private Client Group, Mutual Funds) • Responsible for resource planning, fiscal planning and budget alignment to Wealth Management business drivers • Continuously improve speed to market while balancing quality and price of solutions / services offered • Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with industry and/or business trends • Develop strong relationships and maintain effective communication with business, vendors, operations and technology support partners • Act as an integrator of solutions, provide flexibility, and ensure a good understanding of technology choices by offering and negotiating options with the partners • Promote/develop IT awareness and technical understanding of business partners • Ensure operational, reputational, and proprietary risks are minimized • Identify project risks and develop risk mitigation solutions, make recommendations and escalate as appropriate, receive escalations and act with appropriate level of urgency • Responsible for adherence to change and release management processes and to ensure the applications maintain strict adherence to TRMIS and Audit policies • Ensure compliance with IT Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and the department’s Business Recovery Plan (BRP) • Understands strategic direction (including financials) and champions alliances to benefit the Bank and/or department; advocates for operational improvements to enhance the division’s value to the organization • Develop and manage a team of professional resources by recruiting, training, coaching and conducting performance assessment of team members • Promote and support an environment that encourages productivity, innovation, teamwork, and a high level of professionalism Specific Educational Requirements/Accreditations: • Minimum of 7 years work experience, with Technology background and/or investment industry experience (5 years) • Background in CRM, Investing Systems, Portfolio and Performance Management Systems and Quality Assurance an asset • University degree • Canadian Securities Course / Certified Financial Planner Designation an asset • Wealth management industry experience an asset Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience: • Strong leadership, relationship and interpersonal skills • Excellent communicator, comfortable and confident interacting with all levels of employees from various areas • Strong people person with the ability to pa | |
